ARP 70 – Spot Test Solution for Iridite Coatings
ARP 70 is a quick and effective spot test solution designed to determine the presence and relative protective value of Iridite coatings on aluminum and zinc surfaces. Commonly used for evaluating clear chromate conversion coatings, ARP 70 helps verify whether a surface has been properly treated.
The test works by comparing the reaction time of treated versus untreated metal surfaces. When mixed and applied, the amber solution changes to a blue-green color, with the reaction time indicating the presence and effectiveness of the coating.
