Reflectoquant® Blank Strip, Catalog No. 16730/1 1. General When analyzing colored samples using the Reflectoquant® system - consisting of Reflectoquant® test kits and the Rqflex reflectometer - the intrinsic coloration can, in given circumstances, produce more or less pronounced false-high results. In some cases, Reflectoquant® blank strips can be used to correct these measurement values without having to take time-consuming sample-pretreatment measures. As an alternative, it is also possible to eliminate the intrinsic coloration of the sample prior to analysis by treatment with suitable sorbents (e.g. Divergan® RS or activated charcoal). Whether a correction of measured values is necessary and technically possible is a question that must be checked in each individual case, e.g. using the standard-addition method. For examples, please refer to the corresponding Reflectoquant® applications. 2. Package contents: Tube containing 50 blank strips The strips are stable at least up to the date stated on the pack when stored in the closed tube at +15 to +25°C. 3. Procedure In each of the following working steps, proceed according to the instructions given in the package insert of the corresponding Reflectoquant® test kit. Analyze the colored sample using the analytical test strips from the test kit in question (measurement value A).
